Apple + ( A round up of last weeks apple news )

Last week you may have already heard about it however I'm writing for you all a quick write up about everything announced ( And quietly announced ) in the past month from Apple. On March the 25th Apple did a service based special event in the Steve Jobs Theater.

Apple News +

To go alongside Apple News is a premium news subscription featuring full access to popular magazines and leading newspapers including The Wall Street Journal, Los Angles Times, Vogue, National Geographic and Billboard. Just like Apple Music and other Apple Services everything is 100% private and personal to you, Featuring its own For You page. Unfortnely it is US only at the moment. It also sounds familiar to Newsstand which was removed when News came out in iOS 9.

Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade is apples premier games "Streaming service" Where you can play a selection of games from the App Store easily on iPhone , iPad , Mac OS and Apple TV. Boasts no adverts being able to pause the game on your phone and continue on your iPad as well as being 100% Private. Apple features a selection of games on their website including LEGO Brawls and Where cards fall.

Apple Card

As Apple Say "Apple Card, a new kind of credit card designed by Apple not a bank" The Credit card boasts, No Fees not even hidden one, being 100% private, encourages you to pay less interest, easy to read. Having read about it, Current credit card companies should be scared. (want to read more and find out what I mean https://www.macrumors.com/guide/apple-card/ )

Apple TV+

After a lot of rumors Apple have finally announced there video streaming service. With a similar name to Apple News+. A lot of famous American celebrities joined Tim Cook on stage when they were announcing this last week. They have yet to announce a price on the streaming service. There looks to be a lot of exclusive content on it so far however.

AirPower

You would of probably already heard about this but Apple have officially canceled AirPower. This is something I am gutted about, I've had an iPhone X since launch day and have been patiently waiting for the release of AirPower instead of getting a third party wireless charger. However looks like I'm going to have to settle for something else instead. (If you've got any recommendations tweet me @kylewilkinson46 )

To Sum up the blog I am excited about some of the new services coming to Apple. Apple Arcade sounds great and is one I'll be definitely signing up to the trial for, let you know how it goes from there. Unfortunately Apple Card and Apple News + is launching in the USA only at the moment, so not something I'll be trying out. It seems unlikely that Apple Card will be in the UK however because Apple Cash is still not here after launching in the USA in 2017.

Until Next time,

Kyle
