Today Apple launched the long awaited second generation of the iPhone SE. The SE has been rumoured for a long time. The initial SE was very popular because of its small design and the value for money. So, let’s take a look at this new one and what it’s like compared to the 1st version.
First of Value for money. It’s Apples current cheapest iPhone at £419 ($399) which means it’s launched at the same price as the old one back in 2016. This is a brilliant for the people who want an iPhone who can’t afford the top of the range one or someone that doesn’t want all the major professional features.
Let’s look at some of the COOL features.
It’s got the same A13 Bionic chip powering it that you would find in the amazing iPhone 11 Pro meaning it’s got the amazing strength to keep you entertained with Apple’s services like Apple Arcade.
The camera is a single wide 12MP lens, unfortentyl it doesn’t have features like night mode that you would find on the iPhone 11 but it can do the likes of Depth control which was orginally releaed on the iPhone XS Max.
The design of the phone leaves the previous generation SE’s iPhone 5S like design behind and features a glass and alumninem like design simalir to the iPhone 11. It looks quite nice and still has the home button and TouchID which I’m sure will be very popular amongst previous SE users.
Other little pieces of key information:
- 64GB storage as standard which is double the amount on the previous version.
- 4.7-inch display, the old one was 4 inches. The iPhone 11 is 6.7 inch.
- The same 4K recording as the iPhone 11.
- Apple say the battery lasts “About the same as the iPhone 8”[1]
